Who deserves more - An actor or a worker?

When we look at Kylie Jenner - who's the wealthiest of the wealthy Kar-Jenner family, or Jay Z - a billionaire rapper, what does that say about others who work full time to earn some digits of salary?

Are they less deserving?

These days, when the youth clicks open their phones, expensive cars and unattainable lifestyles fill their feed. It's almost like you can hear the "cha-ching" of those casino station's slot machines.

I am not saying that top actors and performers don't deserve their heavy pay cheques as most of them are assiduous and incredibly talented.

But we should not forget the healthcare workers, teachers, nurses, engineers, scientists, farmers, and other workers who bring skill and development in our country and it's economy.

Unfortunately their incomes don't reflect their efforts and hard work.

The reason why celebs earn so much is, in a way, based on the amount of people who can do the same job.

Between the professions like acting and teaching, there are only a few who can perform any kind of character needed in a movie, infront of a camera. But there are many who can teach.

And thus, money decides it's holder on the basis of the uniqueness of their jobs.

Teachers cannot say that if they don't get the desired amount of money they will quit their jobs as there are many who can take the same place.

We also shouldn't ignore what happens in the lives of these celebs.

Some people are never happy with whatever they get.

True.

That's why some of us want to be in the LimeLight and those who are already in the light, they want to live a life like us.

Because in the name of their passion, they have to face a lot of sexism, especially women who have to give up a lot of things in order to have the perfect jawline or body.

A lecturer in political philosophy at the University of Sydney, Laura Ferracioli says, "If you make it into those professions you recieve financial reward but part of what you are being rewarded for is your looks, and that's the result of sexist society that places too much value on how a woman looks."

These kinds of stereotypes are existing in every field, big or small.

Each and every factor of life becomes a challenge, including aspects like money, mental pressure, social status, lifestyle, and many more. Whereas people who are not known by many, can do whatever they wish for in the public and eat that extra cheesy burrito anytime without the flashes of those cameras.

But here's the thing I dislike the most.

Many people are ready to touch feets of the Stardust beholders and are even ready to have their names tattooed on their skin forever.

Why?

They are also like the workers who are doing their jobs, making money out of their talent, and working.

I understand those people who are not from a well off background, who get inspired by watching movies and treat the actors in them like Gods.

But have you ever seen the originators, the writer or the singers of those inspiring stories coming to light and getting paid equally?

Weaving stories and designing tunes aren't an easy business.

Film acting is a sort of 'winner takes all' game. There is a huge preference to well known actors which means that the 'Khans' may earn 50-90 crores in the film while most actors will struggle to earn enough to live.

It is pure economics.

Replace Salman in few of his movies with some unknown guy and then you'll see the downfall of 100 crore that movie earned to 5 crore.

Now let's move to the scientists.

Most of them earn sober salaries. Which means that there are a very few who are millionaires. But at the same time they are not starving for a huge bank balance.

But there is a reason why scientists make comparatively less money.

If you go to a top scientist and offer him thrice his salary to join a company, he will refuse even if he has the skills.

They will deny even if you give 100 times their income.

Those scientists, healthcare workers, and some other skilled people want to do their work because they love it.

They love their lifestyle and the freedom which comes with it.

Therefore we cannot basically tell which profession deserves more as each of them has its own importance.

But when it comes to calling them God, sacrificing everything in their name, the 'winner takes all' system, and giving them more than enough money should be changed because there are also those who have amazing talents and are developing our country by living under gaunt sheds.
